The first followers of Jesus, the moment they started following Him they hear the words “I will make you fishers of men”.
They got recruited into the employment agency of heaven so did all the followers of this revolutionary Jesus. We read their breathtaking life stories and adventures throughout the New Testament and church history.

The final moments Jesus had with them was a commissioning service - “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nation, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19.

Ordinary men and women they now got lit up and dared to share their faith. Throughout the centuries Jesus followers have shared about their redeemer and the exquisite fragrance of the Gospel has spread far and wide.

Millions and millions have been redeemed and impacted. Law abiding and character building Christian principles have been the bed rock of nation building and transformation of societies. Science, literature, medicine, arts, media has flourished and human race has advanced in every place the Gospel has penetrated.

For twenty -centuries Christianity has been the reigning religion. But in the Western world, like never before Christianity is sadly on a decline. Our complacency in sharing this brilliant message is one of the greatest reasons we see this slide.

Jesus followers like never before  now has to embrace a lifestyle of sharing their faith.
In post-modern America the extra-ordinary challenge is to reach a generation that has been birthed at a time when secular humanism and its ideals have peaked.

Though they still question, they do not get the answers. Christianity has an image problem in America in their eyes. They doubt the church and  question the brazen lack of accountability and display of opulence and luxury and compromise. They value authenticity and finds it   confusing when they read the teachings of Jesus on one side and see what is taught around them in His name.
